My dearest girl,
The holidays hit us like a ton of bricks this year. I'm not sure we were prepared for what it means to do holidays with a baby--for the traveling and the busyness of family time and the coinciding cold/flu season. We certainly weren't prepared for how traveling for work would complicate our already complicated holiday season. So only now, well into January, are we beginning to poke our noses out and view the world again. And in retrospect, for you, these past two months have been monumental.
During the week of Thanksgiving, you cut your first tooth!
You had a cold the first week in December.
You began walking just three days after your 11-month birthday.
During the week of Christmas, you cut your second tooth!
You caught a nasty bug during our trip to Ohio after Christmas, and we spent the next week nursing you back to health.
You cut your top two teeth the first week in January!
And then, oh then, on January 15, we celebrated your first birthday.
Life is so different now than it was just six weeks ago.
